It's great... but ANet is not the only playing with us today.
Thank you GWG for your creativity in the thread titles as well.

All my characters look worse (ESPECIALLY MY WARRIOR!).
Still, it's a great conversation piece in LA.

It's almost as amusing as the new forum titles here.

This is awesome. I can't believe how so many people lack a sense of humor.
They went all out with this, it's funny as hell.

If they did, then it was a pretty obvious lie even then. The characters are a simple 3d model that is assembled each time the character loads from the little string of data that tells it which face, hair, skin, armor, etc. to load, then what colors to apply to them. Given the very limited number of faces and hair available to each gender in each class it's quite easy for them to keep this data string very small, and also not much trouble to edit a value in it. Besided, even before this they glitched one day and changed the value of a new hair style to that of an old one and a lot of people had their character's hair changed against their will, something ArenaNet fixed, but still just more proof like this event, that it's easy for them to change such things or allows for such changes.

One thing's for sure, they'll never say it's not possible after today without a major outrage.

That happened to my ritualist by doing "Log Out to Character Select"- that option seems to have trouble remembering the actual state of the character's appearance (for things like when you zone to a new area or equip new armor). Just close and re-open Guild Wars and all will be well.

Its a 1 to 1 correspondence, so it is quite possible that that is why they cannot do it.
If you notice... EVERYONE is changed, like it or not.
